The Brief, English, Bohemian & Fun

Meg & Cai wanted their wedding flowers to feel relaxed, expressive and full of character. The celebration took place at the bride’s parents’ property, with a marquee installed to host the reception.

The original floral brief centred around poppies, colour and a bohemian chic look. The aim was not to create something overly polished or traditional, but something romantic, textural and personal, with the freshness of an English garden and a more playful modern edge.

As poppy season had passed, the design needed to honour the feeling of the original idea while working honestly with what was seasonally available.

Seasonal Flower Choices For A Luscious English Garden Feel

Rather than force flowers that were no longer at their best, we created the same light, expressive feeling using seasonal alternatives.

The floral design included:

Single peonies for softness and romance
Spiky gerberas to echo the character and energy of poppies
Sweet peas for delicacy, movement and fragrance
